Burgundy Rubber Tree Plant – Ficus – an Old Favorite – 6″ Pot : Tree Growing : Garden & Outdoor

SKU: B00EOQLYEM Categories: ,

Ficus elastica is the classic Rubber Tree, Rubber Plant or India Rubber Plant. Native to India and Malaysia, elastica is among the oldest plants used as houseplants worldwide. As a houseplant, Ficus is very popular. Able to adapt to and endure lower light conditions and generally poor treatment, The Rubber Tree is a winner indoors. Provide as much light as possible, keep away from cold and drafts in winter, keep soil lightly to moderately moist with good drainage. Most any soil will be fine and largely sandy soils mixed with some organics are ideal. Light fertilization is best.

I love this plant! It arrived nicely packaged and in good condition. It has lots of leaves and stands about 6 inches tall. The leaves had limestains from hard water which I managed to reduce with a weak vinegar solution. Can’t wait to see how it grows!

I purchased this little guy about 7 months ago. He seems to be doing well. I see new growth slowly but surely coming out.I let the plant get dry before I water it. If I stick my finger in about an inch and it comes out dry, it is time to water it. I give it a good soaking so that water drains out of the bottom of the pot. I never let it sit in water.I do not have the ideal natural lighting for this plant. It is a north facing window. Every few days he gets his chance under a grow light. He seems to be happy.I believe he was a very good purchase.

I was skeptical about buying plants online, but decided to go for it after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed! The my rubber tree plant arrived quickly, was well packaged, and is in great condition. I plan to order more plants from Hirt’s in the future.

The plant arrived five days early and I could not be more impressed! It arrived packaged in a tall box and was cushioned by foam peanuts. Although some leaves were bent, the plant opened itself up nicely after some time. The plant pot was wrapped in plastic and the soil was moist (repotted in the pictures). You can tell that the nursery took a lot of care to ensure the plant would not only make it through its journey but thrive once getting to its destination. This rubber tree arrived in stunning condition and is a terrific addition to my collection!

Weeeelll, so far so good. It arrived packaged VERY WELL. I replanted it immediately so we shall see how long it lasts. Leaves will drop off if one over waters. So keep the soil dry to moderately moist! This is my challenge, too. To shine the leaves use a dot of mayonnaise on a paper towel and wipe the leaves. Then voilà -shine!

I was so happy to find the Rubber Tree Plants for sale. We had a huge one before moving to Texas but we weren’t able to take it with us. I finally, after 4 years, decided to look online and found these! They came packaged very well and shipped quickly. They were very healthy and beautiful plants. I’m very happy with our experience and would definitely purchase from them again!

I’ve been wanting a rubber tree for quite some time and researched multiple nurseries. I live in the middle of the heartland and in the winter our nurseries are empty or closed so I ordered online. This gorgeous plant arrived almost 5 days early packaged so carefully it was astonishingly apparent how much love went into raising this plant. It’s deeply breathtakingly beautiful and I can’t wait to see how she grows!!

I just got my beautiful rubber tree plant and I couldn’t be happier. She just got here 10 minutes ago and OMG she’s absolutely gorgeous and everything the description said it would be. And I have to say that I was extremely nervous because just yesterday I received a ivy plant fron an online site. and I was so disappointed because it was nothing like the description, and now I have to send it back… but this is everything and more so so very happy with JMBamboo this is my fourth plant that I’ve purchased from them and I must say that my last order I was a little worried because my spider plant was looking a little wilted when it came . But now after a couple weeks she’s doing great as well. So if ur on the fence about ordering from this site go ahead and do it. You won’t be disappointed when your beautiful plant arrives

Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I’m writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I’d purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know!Loved the price on this plant and was prepared to be unhappy with the health following shipping. It was VERY well packed, the soil was still moist and it looked healthy out of the shipping box. Quickly transplanted it into it’s new pot with coco coir for better moisture retention and it’s in our master bedroom with decent indirect light. It’s doing very well and seems very happy. At this price point, it’s tough to go wrong and when you see how it was shipped and how healthy it was, makes any future purchases much easier to make.Highly recommend this Rubber Tree plant for purchase from this seller!

Ordered on Friday, shipped on Saturday and arrived on Monday, so the shipping was fast. Pretty cool that you can order these online. I named my rubber tree Bany and so far he’s doing great. He arrived healthy and well packaged, protected with packing peanuts and wrapped in paper. He was on his side, which made sense, so he didn’t get squashed, and the USPS box was labeled “Live Plant”, so the mail carriers knew not to carelessly toss him around. There was damp newspaper around the pot so no soil fell out and the soil was damp. I have a 12″ pot I’ll repot him in, as soon as he gets adjusted to his new home. Sprayed him with some mist and gave him a little water and placed him in the sun so he can get start photosynthesizing. My rubber boa Naga likes to snuggle with him. ☺
